Time is not a renewable commodity. Once it has come, it is gone. Everytime we doing something, time is immediately used up, exhausted, never to be seen again. That's so unfortunate. There are many times I wish I could have another minute, hour or even a day to re-do something or even more time to accomplish something. But time goes on.
One way that I have started to use my time more wisely is to have a schedule. This past weekend I sat down at my computer and tryped all the events that I have to take care of on a daily and weekly basis. You know, regular things like paying bills, studying, cutting the grass, edging the lawn, even showering and throwing out the trash. It is surprising the amount of things that we do during the week that is almost automatic. I didn't even include the commute back and forth to work or work itself. Hmmmmmm.
Wanting to keep more time for myself on the weekends, I have started to rearrange a few things that I normally do on the weekends to start doing during the week. Things like cutting the grass, paying bills, visiting the dry cleaners and even shopping. I'm hoping that these minor changes will fee up time to do more on Saturday and Sunday.
But then again, if I plan all this stuff for the week and have nothing to do on the weekends, is that a bad thing? Not really. At least I'll have time to myself to ruminate on several issues that are swimming around in my head like...............well, I guess I 'll think of something between now and the weekend.
Maybe I should put thinking on the list.
