Happy 4th of July 2008

Happy 4th of July!

Another 4th of July has come and our Nation as we know it, is still intact. Ok, ok....everything is costing more but looking at the scheme of things maybe it is a good thing. People are driving less, spending less, budgeting more and overall, looking for different ways to save money. Unfortunately there are some that didn't have enough money in the first place and they may be suffering a little more. For them, there are many charitable organizations willing to help.

With the economy looking bad, many have started to criticize the government for not doing more. There are some that are even, "bad-mouthing" the President! Say it ain't so! Well, I have just one thing to say to that. "God Bless America!"

It is not the fact that the people of this great Nation are saying disparaging remarks about the President, it is they CAN say those remarks short of threatening his life and not go to jail!

Unfortunately there are some in our country that feel saying anything bad about the President is not being "patriotic" or being a true "patriot". Hog wash!!

What is a "Patriot"?

Someone who loves their country, YES, their country, over any human being that may be in charge. There have been good Presidents and bad Presidents but America has always been America since 1776. "We the People" are in charge of this country and we are ultimately responsible for what happens.

"We the People" have the right to speak publically if things are going right or wrong and no one, no one, has the right to tell us we are wrong.

"We the People" have the right to have differences of opinion.

"We the People" have the right to vote for whomever we feel is most qualified.

"We the People" will not and cannot become passive lambs being led to the slaughter just because we were told we could not speak out.

It does not matter what your political affiliation is. Speak out! That is your right!

"We the People" are the one who made this Nation great!

"We the People" are the ones who can make it even greater!

"The United States of America. An experiment in freedom that has gone terribly RIGHT!"
