Where the heck did August go?! One minute I'm writing about hot weather and pre-season football and the next thing you know, the weather has gotten cooler, the Redskins lose their first regular season game and my grand daughter is on her second week of school. Whew! Time DOES fly by!
With that stated, does anyone know how many shopping days until Christmas? Ok, ok.....maybe is NOT the time to be thinking about Christmas or Thanksgiving. Some people are like that though. In fact, a good friend of mine and I are already planning for a holiday event that will include a concert and dinner for about 14 of our closest friends. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Another major event this year will be my 30th wedding anniversary. Anniversaries are every man's nightmare once in a while. The big question is, "What do I get my wife?" Do wives feel the same anxiety about buying something for their husbands? Hmmmm, maybe I should do a study on that. I'm still not sure what to get her. Maybe my charming personality and a trip to the Bahamas will do it.
That's it for now. Life is good. I have no complaints and even if I did complain, no one would listen! Does that mean that complaining is useless?
