Gulf Oil Spill

As I write this, thousands of gallons of crude oil continue to polute and destroy the gulf coast of Louisiana. I am sickened every time I see a news report and I am angered that such an event was allowed to happen.

So what happens now?  What does BP do to compensate those that have lost their livelihood? What does BP do to do that have lost their jobs, their lives, their heritage?

The Federal government's response was sufficient. BP's response has been and continues to be on of disdain.

When will the leak finally be fixed?  I have no idea.
When will the mess be cleaned up? Again, I have no idea.
What we need now is a nationwide response, just like we had after Hurricane Katrina hit this region.

Until then, the gulf coast will continue to be polutted, the beaches will continue to be soiled, sea life will continue to die as will small creatures and the once beautiful marshes and habitats.

Thanks BP for ruining our world!
